A MOU Signing Ceremony for R&D Cooperation of Automated Intermodal Transport Systems

The Korea Transport Institute (Lee Taihyeong, director general of the Department of Logistics Research), signed a four-way memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (Oh Songchun, director general of Advanced Logistics Division), the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Jung Junho, director general of the Smart Marine Logistics Promotion Team), and the Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (Kim Seonjong, director general of the Operation Division) on Friday, March 26th. Through this MOU, they plan for mutual collaboration in various fields as follows: mutual cooperation in joint research; support for research funding to realize a full-scale demonstration model of automated intermodal transport systems; provision of a test bed site to realize the full-scale demonstration model of automated intermodal transport systems; matters requiring cooperation to realize the full-scale demonstration model of automated intermodal transport systems; other matters regarding the use and maintenance of the test bed after the research period, and plans to utilize related technologies in Gwangyang Port.
