The Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) is hosting the 2018 Leaders in Urban Transport Planning (LUTP) in Seoul associated with the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. The objective of the program is to build capacity for holistic and comprehensive planning at leadership levels. For a whole overview on LUTP series, please follow this link: http://go.worldbank.org/QJXYV06IY0. Seoul has been renowned for its urban sustainability with its successful transport reform in 2004 and selected as a place of venue for LUTP since 2012.
KOTI will host LUTP Seoul from October 28th to November 3rd 2018. Senior level decision makers in the field of transport planning for the central or provincial government are highly recommended to take this course. Experts from international NGOs, consulting firms and financial institutes are gladly welcomed to attend as well. Participants will devote themselves to online self-study for six weeks as a pre-course. Thereafter, a dynamic on-site learning event will be held in Seoul for a week. If you want to attend LUTP in Seoul, gladly submit an attached registration form by no later than September 28th.
LUTP curriculum aims to analyze fundamental components of integrated transport planning and review successful cases. It will be a hands-on learning experience with group exercises and site visits highlighting fundamental components of the urban transport system. Additionally, we will provide participants with Seoul’s unique experience on integration of inland transport planning and IT-based transport system.
I kindly ask you to recommend LUTP to your colleagues in governments or those who are interested in building capacity in the field of transport.
