KOTI and MOLIT Hold National Forum on Aviation Safety
The National Forum on Aviation Safety, hosted by the Korea Transport Institute (KOTI, President Kim Youngchan), was held on March 21, 2025. Organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and supported by Korea Airports Corporation and Incheon International Airport Corporation, the event convened key stakeholders to discuss strategies for enhancing national aviation safety, including Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Park Sang-woo, KOTI President Kim Youngchan; Chairman of the Aviation Safety Innovation Committee Chae Yeon-seok, as well as MOLIT’s Director General for Aviation Policy Joo Jong-wan, Director for Aviation Policy Kim Young-guk, Director for Aviation Safety Policy Yoo Kyung-soo, and Director for Airport Policy Kim Hong-rak.
In his remarks, President Kim emphasized that the Aviation Safety Innovation Plan must not only focus on the development of new systems but also ensure that existing safety measures are functioning effectively. He also stated, “The Korea Transport Institute will actively support the formulation of the Aviation Safety Innovation Plan, which is scheduled to be finalized in April.”
